Qorong‘i kun, qora bir tun kabi edi bu ochun,
So‘nilg‘on erdi «yoniq»lar u kech ichinda butun.
Butun jim o‘lmish edi tegra yoq qorong‘idan
Yurak yonib tepar erdi qo‘rqinchli qayg‘udan.
Ko‘zim o‘nginda kelib turguvchi buzuq uylar,
Yurakni ezguvchi ul qayg‘uli go‘zal munglar…
Ochardi ko‘zlarimni ozda yumg‘ali qo‘ymay,
Sochardi yoshlarimni birda ting‘ali qo‘ymay.
Miyamdagi u go‘zal ezgu-ezgu umidlar,
Yurakda tebrangan ul qutli-qutli armonlar
Bari yo‘qolmish edi, qayg‘uning tegida qolib,
Yurak o‘tida sovingan edi yonib-da yonib.
Shu choq ko‘rindi sekin, ezgu qutli, nurli quyosh
Ochunga soldi ko‘zin, bolqunib-da kuldi yuvvosh.
Buning bu kulgisidan tindi ko‘zdagi yoshim,
U qo‘rqinchli ko‘rinishdan qutuldi bu boshim.
