This template is used for inserting Syriac Abbreviation Mark (SAM), which can be used for generating a special abbreviation form for the Syriac text.

Technical notes
When SAM is inserted in the Syriac text, the rendering engine should put an overline on all subsequent Syriac script letters, which has a point at each edge and a point in the middle, until the first character which is not a Syriac letter or diacritic. Some fonts can provide the way of generating this overline via the OpenType feature tag "stch". But only a small number of web browsers got support.
