Hello វ័ណថារិទ្ធ, welcome to the multilingual Wikisource! Thanks for your interest in the project; we hope you'll enjoy the community and your work here.

This wiki is the original Wikisource wiki, originally hosting works in many languages. The larger collections have been spawned into separate projects, leaving this wiki to serve as a central collaboration point, and as an environment where works without a language subdomain can be started. Refer to our languages list to see which languages still reside on this wiki. You can find a list of the separate language projects on the main page or here and you may want to look at the our coordination page for limitations on placing certain works on the separate language projects.

Most questions and discussions about the community are in the Scriptorium.

The Community Portal lists tasks you can help with if you wish. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page!

Khmer language

[edit]

Thank you for adding the Khmer (Cambodian) language to Wikisource:Languages.

I have gone ahead and created stub pages for you at the links you created. Please see Main Page:ភាសាខ្មែរ and Category:ភាសាខ្មែរ. Good luck! Dovi 18:34, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

How to start

[edit]

Hi. I'd be glad to help. As above, I just started a Main Page and a Category for you. If you want to, you can move the Main Page to ទំព័រដើម or to ទំព័រដើម:ភាសាខ្មែរ. Whatever you like best.

I would suggest first writing a little bit about yourself on your user page, both in Khmer and in English. Then go ahead and start writing Main Page:ភាសាខ្មែរ! Make red links for the titles of important texts and books in the Khmer language. Then add some texts. Don't forget to put all the texts you add into Category:ភាសាខ្មែរ.

I would also call go to the Khmer Wikipedia. At the bottom of the main page there, there is a link to Wikisource. But it links to the English Wikisource! Change the link there to Khmer Wikisource with this link:

[[:oldwikisource:Main Page:ភាសាខ្មែរ]]

Feel free to ask any other questions. Dovi 18:46, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Great start on Main Page:ភាសាខ្មែរ! Also please add "Wikisource - The Free Library" to the Wikisource page. Dovi 20:02, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. The translation of "The Free Library" seems very long in the Wikisource chart. Could it be shortened or divided into individual words? Dovi 20:33, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hi Dovi, thanks for your advices and suggestions. I will take some time to explore Wikisource and learn more about it. During weekends, surely will need your help again! Kind regards, --វ័ណថារិទ្ធ 14:06, 24 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'd rather give you this tool:

Magic hat
Magic hat

but what we do use is this one:

Mop

Warmest welcome!  :) --Zyephyrus (talk) 08:48, 6 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Query, if this is Khmer shouldn't it be on a sub-domain?

Also it would be much appreciated if you would consider adding additional biblogrpahic data so it can be cofnrimed as a freely licensable work. Thanks :) ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 13:44, 26 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Help with harassment by cs.wikisource admins

[edit]

Hi, I see you are admin of this wiki. On the local Village pump there's written: "This is the central location for discussing issues with Wikisource, and the place to ask for help." So I posted a plea for help there but noone replied. Would you please have a look? I'm being harassed by cs.wikisource admins, I was banned indef but I never did anything wrong on the wiki at all. Thanks in advance. --Auvajs (talk) 17:41, 20 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
