User talk:Jofi~sourceswiki
Add topicHello, because Catholic Church Encyclicals links as same titles from Dokumenty Kościoła Katolickiego#Encykliki. Like Rerum Novarum. It was before domain vote. Now it's really not needed. Niki ♣ 13:56, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)
robot User:ThomasBot
[edit]Hello,
as you might have noticed, I was not very active these days, and I did not update the robot's code as often as people requested. The reason is that I have a lot of work now. In addition, I will be away from my computer for several weeks this summer.
Since you seem to have some technical knowledge, I thought maybe you would be interested in running and maintaining the robot in place of me.
The bot uses the pywikipedia framework. So, you need to be able to program in python and to have a computer running Linux. Please tell me if you are interested, and if you think you can do it.

We have two (identical) copies of the text, the other at Norges grunnlov, originaltekst, which is at Thomas's list of Norwegian texts. The text is consistent with Danish as it was written at that time (there's a few deviations, but not many). I'm not sufficiently familiar with norwegian texts from the same period to tell how it relates to the Norwegian written language at the time. In 1814 Norway separated from the union of Denmark-Norway, and in the period of the union, when Norway was under the Danish crown, legal documents concerning Norway was sometimes written in Danish. As it appears to be the original version of the constitution, as well as written in Danish, a copy of the constitution should go to both the Norwegian and the Danish subdomain. Can you explain this at Talk:Main Page:Deutsch? I'm not sufficiently skilled in the German language to do it myself. --Christian S 07:23, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
- Thank you. At German Wikipedia it is said, that the norsk language Riksmål was nearly identical to dansk. --Jofi 17:28:39, 2005-07-21 (UTC)
Yes, they are right. I believe they were even closer 200 years ago than they are now, but still it is easy for most danes to read and understand a text written in norwegian Riksmål, and vise versa, even without education in the other language. --Christian S 18:20, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
- So for some texts it seems to be really difficult to say if they are dansk or norsk (or both). I'm glad that I don't have to decide what should belong to dansk wikisource and what to norsk wikisource ;-) --Jofi 21:25:18, 2005-07-21 (UTC)
Hi Jofi.
It is not necessary to move things manually to de.wikisource. There will be an import soon ThomasV 13:37, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
The same written language was used in Denmark and Norway as of 1814. In Norway it was called Norwegian and in Denmark it was called Danish. Some call it Dano-Norwegian. The name Riksmål (national language) is a later invention (1899).
import
[edit]hi, could you check if the german list is ok, and tell me if there are categories or templates that you want to be moved to de.wikisource? ThomasV 17:15, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
- I started doing this. AFAIK it will be possible to import forgotten pages later with the browser frontend. Is this true or did anything change? --Jofi 17:20:39, 2005-08-25 (UTC)
I suppose that it will be possible. but I am not sure, because I heard that this feature still doesn't work. the robot will stop updating the german list, in order to preserve your manual edits. any german page added from now must be added manually to the list. ThomasV 18:07, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
- The last try I made with a local copy, it worked only with the current version. But exporting pages with special:export (making a local copy) and importing it with special:import worked with earlier mediawiki versions as far as I can remember. I think it's almost impossible to make sure that really all pages are exported. I hope there will be a way to export forgotten or later added pages. --Jofi 18:12:26, 2005-08-25 (UTC)
Liste
[edit]Hallo Jofi,

- I hope I didn't forget too much. Wikisource is already too big to have a real overview about the articles. --Jofi 09:02:23, 2005-08-26 (UTC)
go to Special:AllPages, and you can browse all namespaces. it gives you a real overview for the pages that are not in the main namespace. ThomasV 09:05, 26 August 2005 (UTC)
- I tried to do it. I don't really think I forgot much, but I'm a bit unsure. I asked an other German user to have a look at the articles, but it may take some time until he reads the message. So you don't have to wait, if the moving shall start. --Jofi 09:12:14, 2005-08-26 (UTC)
Categories
[edit]Hi Jofi, I deleted the categories and templates in your list: User:Jofi/German categories and other pages to be moved.
Can you check the list and the categories that I haven't delete? Thanks, --LadyInGrey 19:14, 16 September 2005 (UTC)
- I checked it. The questionmark bug is still not solved. The rest can be deleted. --Jofi 11:07, 17 September 2005 (UTC)
Die Artikeln in Kroatisches Sprache
[edit]Jofi, You are right. There is some more of typing errors to be corrected. Originally is the first version of the translation. I made it on a Mac ImageWriter II in police Semitica conceived for the writing Hebraic. Then it was necessary it to convert in PC version. During the period of translation I was hard obliged to work as operation, having lost everything, the country, the work on the University. I was without force to make everything well. The keyboard was English and I, I wrote in Croatian and, in more absent-minded by my fate and the whole bankruptcy of the life I does not make the decent correction, and you know that the "u" and l "i" are neighbours on keyboard. But, good God made me avoid the death in the war and He saved me and reunited the family and I makes my offering to thank Him. Everything is free and in glory of God. Thus have of patience with my faults. I am going to order everything. But I am not any more a young man and I need of time. I am going to re-read everything and to correct. In more I still have several miles notes of foot of page to be made, because Wikipedia in everything destroys. Thank you for your understanding.
Diese Seite, wie die anderen, ist der Product von mein Zerstreuung. Ich werde die Bibel noch einmal lesen und die Redaction machen. Tschüss!--Tomislav Dretar 20:54, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Jofi. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Jofi~sourceswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
