Italian Wikisource has reached 50000 pages with a chapter from Monete e medaglie degli Spinola. Our growth is slow because we're actively working on matching uploaded texts with scanned sources. Many new scanned books are transcribed everyday.

Russian Wikisource has now all poetic works by Sergei Yesenin. We will continue our hard work on Yesenin's prose, essays, critique and letters.

With a chapter in the On the Origin of Species by Charles Darwin, the Swedish Wikisource has reached 5000 pages.

Venitian Wikisource got its own subdomain

The Venetian Wikisource has just been created and can now be accessed at vec.wikisource.org. All pages from Category:Vèneto were already imported there.

Breton Wikisource got its own subdomain

BnF gives 1500 texts to french Wikisource

The Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF, National Library of France) gave 1500 texts to french Wikisource. The list of the texts is here.

Norwegian Wikisource reaches 50% of pr-texts

In an effort to improve the quality and trustability of Wikisource, texts are now being backed with scans at many subdomains. This process is particularly advanced at the Norwegian Wikisource, where a milestone has been reached yesterday : more than 50% of the texts proposed at no.ws are now transcluded from the "Page" namespace and backed with scans. Congratulations!

The Czech Wikisource („Wikizdroje“) has reached 10,000 pages with 5th book of Czech translation of Homer's Iliad.

Following other subdomains, the french Wikisource requested and obtained the creation of an "Auteur" Namespace. More than 2000 author pages were moved from "ns-main" to this namespace. A robot is being used to update all the links.

The Chinese Wikisource has blocked by Communist Party of China in China mainland for unknown reason.

Armenian wikisource has 2000 pages now!!
